it's about time....

I've been thinking about starting a blog for ages. Not that I think too many people will be interested in reading about my boring days at home with two kids. More because the days really aren't that boring! I want to write down all the silly things the kids say and do before I forget. I've never kept baby books for either of them and I'm terrible about remembering to write down important milestones like when they got their first tooth or what their first word was (actually, Meghan's first word was Duck and Ethan's was Balloon.)

Silly conversation for today:

I was helping Meghan go to the bathroom when she informed me, "Mommy, I smell poop."

Me: "Yes, you're pooping."

Meghan: "It looks like meatballs. Not good meatballs. Not mommy meatballs. Poop meatballs."

Me: (trying not to laugh) "yeah, I guess it does."

Meghan: "we don't want to eat poop meatballs...they're yucky. We just eat Mommy meatballs and Daddy meatballs and Ethan meatballs and Gramma meatballs."
Man.....I really love this girl, but she's WEIRD!!!!!!

  1. Great minds think alike! I started my first blog today, too!

Aren't kids the greatest? They say the strangest things, and have the strangest train of thoughts, but for some reason they seem to make more sense than most adults I know. Hmmmm...

  4. Too funny!

Love your kids' first words. They say 50% of kids say "Dada" first. I'm glad that if Eliana's wasn't Mama, at least it wasn't Dada either. Hers was "dog."

Speaking of funny trains of thought, Eliana loves the "Name Game." She makes me sing it all the time and tells me what words to insert. I love to watch her train of thought. One time I was making tea. I had to do "tea, tea, bo-bee," "honey, honey, bo-bunny," "Pooh, Pooh, bo-boo," "Tigger, Tigger, bo-bigger..."
